Kenya is the East African powerhouse of the coffee world. Regarded as the most popular of the African coffees, and is typically grown on the sides of mountains, such as Mt. Kenya, at an elevation of 4200 - 6800 feet. AA signifies the best grade from Kenya. We carry the AA, and the EP (EuroPrep) which indicates it is processed to higher standards than other AA graded coffee. Roasted to a medium” roast Kenya AA has full body, delicate dryness and a smooth winey flavor. This is a fine coffee for those who like the striking and unusual.
This coffee has a great wineyness to it, with low body and lots of lemon in the cup. The added plus is the berrylike finish.
Roast: Medium - In general, this is a bright coffee that lights up the palate from front to back. Our Kenya has interesting fruit (berry, citrus) flavors, and hints of dark of chocolate. This cup provides a clean finish.
