Costa Rica – “El Tigre”
Description
Over thirty thousand coffee plantations within an area smaller than Southern California, the Central American country of Costa Rica is truly a “Coffee Republic.” El Tigre de Barva Especial is a coffee produced in the slopes of the volcanoes that surround the Central Valley of Costa Rica, where the cities of Heredia, Alajuela and San José are located. The soil where this coffee is grown has been blessed by God, since for millions of years it has been enriched by the many volcano eruptions that have taken place. Costa Rica coffee is very popular for any time of the day. We roast this coffee to a “medium” roast in order to bring out the fine qualities preserving the excellent vibrancy, good balance, very full body and robust richness with a hint of spice and nutty overtones. A classically complete coffee; it has everything and lacks nothing.
Roast: Medium roast - This fantastic Costa Rican has crisp, clean, bright acidity, a good snap, flowery (almost lemony) citrus with a slight hint of nuttiness in the finish.
